On February 22, 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul signed into law S.8084-A/A.9283-A, creating a new Adult-Use Conditional Cultivator license, authorizing eligible hemp growers to apply for a license to grow cannabis containing over 0.3% THC for the upcoming adult-use market.

Our experience with outdoor cultivation has been over 30 years but our experience with large outdoor grow operations started with NYS Hemp in 2019 giving us much experience with the whole extensive process from Seed to Sale.
With NYS MRTA (Marijuana Regulation Taxation Act) passed in March 2021 it formed the Office of Cannabis Management. Regulations were put in place which allowed us to apply for the Conditional Adult Use Cultivators License. April 14, 2022 we obtained our NYS Adult Use Conditional Cultivator’s License OCM-AUCC-22-000008. With one season of Adult Use 30,000 sq ft outdoor canopy we are gaining knowledge and learning what strains are best for our environment.

We will also continue our current NYS Hemp License growing Hemp to continue to offer our CBD products.

Indoor grow operations continuously evolve and we have found ways to gain knowledge and evolve with them through prohibiton to legalization since 1987. 

Legacy farmers are of cultural and historical significance as their years of efforts paved the way for Cannabis legalization and normalization. They have contributed significantly to their respective economic regions and have been outspoken advocates for personal freedom, environmental protection, and creating loving communities.

Kerry Trammel is the Owner of The Releaf Market LLC. in Jamestown, NY. Over 20 years ago, Kerry began her cannabis activism in North Carolina. In 2019, Kerry relocated to NY, where she became an advocate for all aspects of the cannabis industry. The same year, Kerry obtained her cannabis hemp license and began growing. In 2022, she received her NY State conditional cultivation license and grew outdoors for the season. Her cannabis advocacy includes helping Asheville City Council and County Commissioners adopt resolutions to support Medical Cannabis in NC. Speaking at legislative sessions and town hall meeting for cannabis acceptance. Helping educate people on the benefits of cannabis in the medical community. Advocated for the use of cannabis for pediatric cancer patients. Her youngest daughter is a pediatric cancer survivor for over 8 years. Kerry is a Certified Medical Coder with over 20 years’ experience in the medical field. She also has certificates of completion for the cannabis community education courses at NCCC.

Todd Stimson is the Cultivation Manager at The Releaf Market LLC. in Jamestown, NY. In this role, Todd Stimson manages all aspects of the company’s cannabis cultivation. In North Carolina, Todd has 20-plus years as a legacy grower and advocate, helping educate others about the benefits of cannabis use. He’s received many resolutions and letters of support from municipalities in the NC area for his work in the cannabis advocacy. In 2013, Todd created the only Cannabis Ribbon through a USPTO registered trademark. In 2019, Todd returned to his hometown of Jamestown, NY, where his cannabis advocacy, knowledge and experience continues to thrive locally. He’s spoken at different local municipalities, helping smooth the way for future cannabis cultivators and businesses. He helped Kiantone, NY, create a survey which gave the citizens a voice regarding retail and consumption opportunities in the town. Todd is continuously gaining more knowledge in the cannabis industry, including certificates from the NCCC cannabis curriculum.
